Mega Blood Donation Camp Organised by State Bank of India on Its Foundation Day

Balasore, 21/6 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): On the occasion of the 70th Foundation Day of the State Bank of India, a Mega Blood Donation Camp was jointly organised by the Regional Business Office and the Regional Office of SBI at the FM College Road Branch premises in Balasore, in collaboration with Sambad – Ama Odisha.

The camp held at the Regional Office was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prabhat Kumar, Deputy General Manager, Administrative Office, Balasore. Esteemed guests such as Yashobanta Dash, Regional Manager; Minaketan Baralebadia, Chief Manager (HR), Regional Office; Buddhiram Panigrahi, Chief Manager (Operations), Regional Business Office; Sabyasachi Mahapatra, HR Officer; and Dr. Basanta Kumar Upadhyay from the Balasore Blood Centre attended the event and encouraged the blood donors.

Leaders from various associations also took part, including Rajesh Kumar Behera, Regional Secretary, Officers’ Association; Paramananda Deo, Vice President, Employees’ Union; Manas Kumar Mahapatra, Regional Secretary, Employees’ Union; Manmatha Sahu, Regional Secretary, Officers’ Association; Maheswar Pati, President; Biswasundar Dash, HR Coordinator; and Digvijay Panda. A total of 231 units of blood were collected from this camp.

Simultaneously, another blood donation camp was held at the FM College Road Branch, inaugurated by Buddhiram Panigrahi, Chief Manager (Operations), RBO. Organised under the supervision of Branch Manager Dani Chandra Mochan Mangal and Gayadhar Behera, this camp successfully collected 106 units of blood.

Several key persons including Padmalochan Nandy, Sabyasachi Raut, Manas Mahapatra, Jagannath Dash, Rakhal Mohanty, Sonunigam Behera, Prafulla Panda, Debabrata Mishra, Sudip Kumar Raul, Ashish Rana, Rajesh Giri, Nabakishore Mallik, Prabir Kumar Ghadei, Saroj Kumar Das, Rajesh Kumar Satapathy, Prachi Pallavi, Biswasundar Das, and Sambad–Ama Odisha collaborator Lakshmidhar Barik, along with branch heads and staff from all subordinate branches under the RBO, actively coordinated the event.

Each donor received an attractive voucher from the bank in appreciation of their noble contribution.
