‘Muṭhāe Swapna’ and ‘Sāgarikā’ Equinox Editions Unveiled

‘Muṭhāe Swapna’ and ‘Sāgarikā’ Equinox Editions Unveiled

Balasore, 29/04 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): The story collection 'Muṭhāe Swapna' by novelist and editor of Dhwani Pratidhwani, Sruṣṭidhar Parida, along with the equinox issue of the distinctive literary magazine 'Sāgarikā', were recently unveiled.

The event, held at the Station Club, was inaugurated by veteran poet Ratnakar Rout. In his address, he remarked that the writings of poets and literary figures, who give shape to the dreams seen by humankind, contribute meaningfully to building a better society. He added that a fistful of dreams always guides humanity, and like a handful of good seeds, such dreams have the potential to grow into countless fruitful trees.

The event’s chief guest, Balasore Sadar MLA Manas Kumar Dutta, shared his views emphasizing that literature and books are essential tools for social development. He expressed hope that 'Muṭhāe Swapna' would not only inspire readers but also garner their deep appreciation.

As a discussant, Dr. Bhagabat Behera shed light on various aspects of the book, stating that it carries important messages relevant to the reform of a disordered society. Dr. Kalipada Panda, head of Subarnashree Publications, shared a few words from the publisher’s perspective.

Advocate and social worker Benudhar Roul and yoga guru Sujit Kumar Jena also expressed their belief that the meaningful themes and accessible language of 'Muṭhāe Swapna' would resonate with readers.

The celebration, presided over by Dhwani Pratidhwani and Sāgarikā editor poet Sairindhree Sahoo, featured remarks by the author Sruṣṭidhar Parida, who welcomed the guests and shared his personal reflections on writing.

The program began with musical renditions by vocalist Shwetalisa Subhadrashini and senior advocate Bijaya Panigrahi. Poet Priyanka Priyadarshani Das, Rangarāga editor Pradeepta Kumar Mohanty, and advocate Yashodanandan Aash also contributed to anchoring and organizing the event. The gathering witnessed the presence of many literature lovers, intellectuals, and journalists from the city.
