Odisha CM participates in ‘Akhi Muthi Anukula’ ritual

Bhubaneswar (30/04/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in the Akhi Muthi Anukula’ ritual on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Trutiya.

The Chief Minister took part in the ritual sowing ceremony.

The special programme was organised by the Department of Agriculture at the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) farm in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. Bhumi pujan ritual was also performed during the programme.

The programme was attended as farmers from across the state. Akshaya Trutiya, a festival synonymous with prosperity and good fortune, is being observed across Odisha today.

It is considered one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar.

It is on this day that both the Sun and the Moon are believed to be in their most favourable positions. Akshaya Trutiya is an opportune moment for starting new ventures and making significant purchases.
