Odisha government simplifies registration of apartment common areas

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): The Odisha government has simplified the process for registering common areas of apartments. 
Under the new system, such areas can now be registered in the name of the Association of Allottees or the Housing Buyers’ Association by paying a fixed fee of Rs 20,000.

The decision follows a meeting held by the Urban Development Department with key stakeholders in November last year. 

During the meeting, it was resolved to streamline and regularise the registration process of apartment common areas, addressing long-standing concerns of residents and housing associations.
