Holi Festival and Poetry Assembly Celebrated by Fakir Mohan Sahitya Parishad
Balasore, March 5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): The Holi festival along with a special poetry assembly was celebrated by the Fakir Mohan Sahitya Parishad at Kabitiratha Shanti Kanan.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Chaudhury Satyabrata Nanda. On this occasion, a poetry session was organised under the joint coordination of poets Jumar Nath Patra and Padmalochan Pradhan.
At the beginning of the programme, Joint Secretary Kalyani Nanda presented a welcome song. Poets and writers including Dr. Laxmikanta Tripathy, Dinabandhu Lenka, Dr. Shirish Chandra Jena, Dipak Bose, Pradip Chatterjee, Nibaran Jena, Tapan Roy, Prabhat Kumar Acharya, Samar Ballav Bhoi, Dipak Das, Ranjan Baug, Santosh Kumar Sahu, Debendra Das, Prashant Kumar Mohanty, Shantilata Panda, Basanti Dey, Archana Kar, Shanti Bishi, Kabita Jena, Pragyarani Mallik and Sangeeta Rath participated in the programme. They recited their self-composed poems and spoke on the significance of Dola Purnima.
At the end of the programme, Secretary Ratnakar Singh delivered the concluding remarks, while Joint Secretary Rajesh Giri proposed the vote of thanks.
