Odisha government to launch ‘Jan Ashraya Bhawan’ for short-term stays in Bhubaneswar

In a pioneering move, the Odisha government has announced the establishment of ‘Jan Ashraya Bhawan’ in Bhubaneswar, aimed at providing short-term accommodation for visitors from across the state.

The facility will be constructed on a five-acre site near Master Canteen. The complex will include a bus stand and surrounding showrooms and shops to enhance convenience for travellers.

Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi stated that guests can stay at the Bhawan for up to three days at a nominal charge, making it accessible for those visiting the capital for official, medical, or personal purposes.

The project is designed to address accommodation challenges for visitors while improving urban infrastructure and public amenities in the city.
