Odisha government to revamp SHG framework

Bhubaneswar(07/04/2025): The Odisha government is revamping the self-help group (SHG) framework with an aim to introduce new leadership at the grassroots level.

The key changes include New Leadership- Replacing old chairpersons and secretaries with fresh faces. New appointments will be made for GPLF and BLF members. The state government has decided to allow everyone to participate in GPL elections. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced these changes, highlighting the government's efforts to create a more inclusive and effective SHG structure.

Additionally, the government plans to disburse Subhadra funds on April 22-23 to eligible beneficiaries after conducting surveys.

Approximately 1.7 lakh beneficiaries have been excluded from the program.
