Odisha to witness dry spell for seven days: IMD
Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty):
Odisha is set to experience a dry spell for the next seven days.
According to Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre Director Manorama Mohanty, despite developments over the Bay of Bengal, no rainfall activity is expected across the state. The low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a depression on November 24.
“The system will continue moving west–northwest over the next 48 hours without changing direction and will further concentrate over the west–southwest Bay of Bengal,” she said.
However, she confirmed that these developments will have no immediate impact on Odisha’s weather, which will remain dry throughout the week.
She advised the farmers to stay alert and complete the harvesting of matured paddy crops at the earliest to avoid unforeseen losses.
