Pakistani woman residing in Bhubaneswar asked to leave India immediately

Bhubaneswar(26/04/2025): The Commissionerate Police has issued a notice to a Pakistani woman residing in Bhubaneswar to leave India immediately.

The woman has been staying in Bhubaneswar since 2008 on a long-term visa. Her visa expired in 2024, and she hasn't renewed it. A directive has already been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to issue notices to 12 Pakistani nationals residing in Odisha on long term visas. The Indian nationals residing in Pakistan have also been asked to return home at the earliest amid escalation of tensions between the two countries over Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 people on April 22.
