Potato crisis: Raid conducted at Bhubaneswar Unit-1 Market
Bhubaneswar (10/08/2024): The Odisha Food Supplies department on Saturday conducted a raid at the Unit-1 Market in Bhubaneswar to control potato price rise. The officials of the department issued strict instructions the vendors to sell potatoes at government fixed price of Rs 32-35 per kilogram. The Odisha government has decided to provide 3 kg potatoes at Rs 100 to people in Bhubaneswar. The Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare department has already started the process to provide ten packets of potatoes to each dealer.
The dealers have been asked to provide 3 kgs of potatoes to each family at Rs 100 to all ration card holders and other people till stability comes in market rates.
