Prestigious ANRF Endorsement for Fakir Mohan University

Baleswar, 23/4(Krushna Kumar Mohanty) Fakir Mohan University has achieved a significant milestone in enhancing its multidimensional research and academic pursuits. Under the partnership of the Government of India’s ANRF (Anusandhan National Research Foundation) and with financial support from the PIAIR program (Promoting Institutional and Academic Innovation through Research), the university has been approved for collaborative research and academic development.
As part of this prestigious recognition, Fakir Mohan University will participate as a "Spoke" institution, while the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela will serve as the "Hub." NIT Rourkela has been designated the lead in this joint initiative, which also includes many reputed institutions as Spoke partners, such as Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology - Burla, Sambalpur University, Odisha University of Technology and Research - Bhubaneswar, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology - Bhubaneswar, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) - Bhubaneswar, and Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University - Ludhiana, Punjab.
In the first phase, more than 30 universities were shortlisted as Spoke institutions, and in the final round, only 7 received approval. During the final selection event held in Bengaluru, Fakir Mohan University was represented by Professor Pankaj Kumar Padhi, Professor Prakash Chandra Mishra, and Dr. Nihar Ranjan Raut.
The focus of this project is on long-term environmental sustainability and balance. It emphasizes globally relevant, multidisciplinary research outcomes.
Under the guidance and leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Santosh Kumar Tripathy, the university's dedicated researchers and faculty members are expected to contribute significantly to this important initiative.
It is noteworthy that Fakir Mohan University has already made a distinct mark in the state by organizing various national and international seminars, symposiums, and conferences in pursuit of its research and academic goals. Last year, three faculty members from the university were ranked among the world’s top 2% of scientists.
