‘Rupayan’ Observes World Mother’s Day: “The World Stands on the Strength of a Mother’s Sacrifice and Endurance,” Said the Guest

Balasore, 11.5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A mother is not merely a caregiver; through her sacrifice and patience, she nurtures and refines the world. A mother only gives—never expects anything in return. Until her final breath, she desires nothing but the well-being of her children. Wherever motherhood is respected, it is believed that divinity dwells. The foundation of every great civilization in the world has been laid by the strength and values imparted by mothers. These sentiments were expressed by distinguished guests and honored mothers during the World Mother’s Day celebration organized by the socio-cultural organization ‘Rupayan’.
The event took place on the afternoon of the 11th at the Bahi Ghar–Bidyabharati Auditorium, with poet Abhaya Das presiding and Shraddhanjali Ray, the secretary of ‘Rupayan’, coordinating the program.
Renowned entrepreneur and poet Basanti Pani, former member of Balasore Zilla Parishad (Zone 31) Jayanti Mishra, and social worker Pranita Mishra were honored as "Vandaniya Maa" (Revered Mothers) at the event.
Among the prominent speakers were Dr. Radharanjan Pattanaik (Chief Guest), Purnachandra Panda, Manjulata Bala, Professor Dr. Pradeepta Mishra, social worker Jadanesh Mishra, Bijaya Das Adhikari, and Madhusudan Mishra, who spoke about the significance of Mother’s Day.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Debashis Panda.
