Schematic Junior Teachers' salary increased

Bhubaneswar(17/01/2025): Under the Samagra Shiksha program, schematic junior teachers [Junior Teacher (Schematic)] have been appointed at the primary and upper primary levels.
They were receiving a monthly salary of Rs 11,100.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has approved the proposal to increase their monthly salary. As per the Chief Minister's decision, the monthly salary of these teachers has been increased from Rs 11,100 to Rs 16,000.
Additionally, their EPF contribution has also been increased from Rs 1,443 to Rs 1,950.
Earlier, the state government was providing Rs 12,543 per month to each schematic junior teacher, but now it will provide Rs 17,950 per month. It is worth mentioning that there are currently 13,740 schematic junior teachers working in the state.
The state government will bear an additional annual expenditure of Rs 89.15 crore for this purpose. The Chief Minister has taken several important decisions to improve primary education in the state.
More than 16,000 junior teachers have been appointed in the state.
The Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Primary Vidyalaya Yojana has also been implemented. Through this scheme, junior teachers will benefit, and there will be qualitative improvement in primary education, as expressed by the Chief Minister.
