Service period of Odisha Chief Secretary extended

Bhubaneswar (27/12/2024): Manoj Ahuja, the current Chief Secretary of Odisha, has been granted a one-year service extension by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet, effective January 1, 2025.

The decision ensures continuity in the state's administration. Ahuja, a 1990-batch IAS officer, took charge as the Chief Secretary of Odisha on June 28, replacing Pradeep Kumar Jena.

Prior to this, he served as the Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of the Central Government.
