SNEH CELEBRATED RAJA MAUJA-2023 WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM
“RAJA MAUJA-2023” Date: June 16, 2023, Organised by SNEH NGO, Bhubaneswar(16/06/2023): Society for Nature Education and Health (SNEH) celebrated the Raja festival "Raja Mauja-2023" with great enthusiasm and pomp on June 16, 2023, at its Campus, situated in Mayfair Nagar, Salia Sahi slum, Bhubaneswar.
Around 400 slum children, teenagers, and women participated in the programme.
The event was inaugurated by the Local Peace Committee leaders.
This program aimed to develop the latent talent and self-confidence of slum children, adolescents and women.
Odiya Cine star, Ushashi Mishra, Criminal Advocate, Kabita Suar from Bhubaneswar Bar Association and many other eminent personalities comprising of social workers, academician and media participated in this occasion.
Competitions like Chocolate Jump, Poochie Game, Make Your Palace by Cards, Swing Game, Raja-Saja, and various cultural programmes made the celebration more live and enjoyable.
Particularly, the "Raja Saja" competition made the event more interesting.
In this competition, young women dressed up as dwarfs and performed their various skills.
The players who achieved success in various competitions were felicitated by SNEH.
Contestants and guests enjoyed the Raja festival with the unique taste of Raja pana and cake (podopitha).
SNEH’s President Subarna Ghosh, has given her best wishes and dedicated this festival to the celebration of womanhood.
The entire programme was conducted by SNEH’s staff, volunteers of Salia Sahi slum.
This special program, part of SNEH’s “Promoting Youth-Driven Community for HIV Prevention” project, was supported by the Mercury Phoenix Trust .
