SOUTHWEST MONSOON TO SET IN OVER KERALA ON MAY 31

Bhubaneswar (22/05/2024): The Southwest monsoon is likely to set in over Kerala on May 31 with a model error of four days on either side. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has made the forecast for monsoon 2024 much earlier when compared to the last five years.

Last year, the IMD had predicted monsoons from June 4 while the actual onset date was June 8, 2023. The Met Department has predicted above-normal rainfall in the country.
