Special arrangements in place at Puri Srimandir for Dola Purnima lunar eclipse

Puri(By Abhishek Mohanty): The authorities of the Shree Jagannath Temple have finalized elaborate arrangements ahead of the Ketu-grasta lunar eclipse scheduled on March 3, coinciding with Dola Purnima.

The eclipse will make its contact in Puri at 3:20:17 PM. In adherence to temple customs, cooking of Mahaprasad and all routine rituals will remain suspended from sunrise until the eclipse concludes.

After the Sarvamoksha, the deities will be adorned in the majestic Rajadhiraj Besha, which is slated to be held between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

The rituals will culminate with the ceremonial procession of the Chalanti Pratima to the Dolabedi at 10:00 PM, marking the continuation of Dola Purnima festivities.
