Ten individuals honoured with Sanskruti Rakshak Samman

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): On the occasion of Maa Bimala's Maha Ashtami, ten individuals were honoured with the prestigious "Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Rakshak Samman"at the Bhakta Dasia Peetha in Baligaan of Puri district.


A Yajna (sacred fire ritual) was conducted as part of Maa Bimala’s Maha Ashtami Puja. 
The event was organized under the coordination of Bhakta Dasia Peetha Committee Secretary Ghanashyam Swain and President Pratibha Maharathy.

Former Vice-Chancellor Binayak Rath attended as the Chief Guest. The programme began with devotional songs dedicated to Lord Jagannath. 

Jagannath Sanskruti Prachar Sansathan President Dr. Narayan Mohapatra, Suresh Mishra, Bharati Bhushan Pattnayak, Trilochan Nayak, Bijay Panda, and others were present. 

In this event, 10 individuals who have long been dedicated to preserving the culture of Lord Jagannath through their service awere felicitated.

Pratibha Maharathy gave a heartfelt speech about Bhakta Dasia’s devotion and legacy. 

Chief Guest Binayak Rath also praised the sanctity of the Peetha and encouraged everyone to continue serving with devotion to God.

Prominent figures such as Ajay Das, Akshaya Sahu, Shrinivas Rao, Trinath Lenka, and several key members of the Bhakta Dasia Committee actively participated and contributed to the event.

The programme concluded with a group singing of Jayadeba’s Gita Govinda and devotional songs like Shrita Kamala.

Later, everyone took part in the Purnahuti (final offering of the Yajna) and offered flowers to Maa Bimala.

The event ended with the distribution of Mahaprasad, including Khichdi Bhog of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, which was served to all at the Chandrasekharpur Durga Mandap in Bhubaneswar.

The participants felt blessed and joyous to be part of this divine event.
