Every step measured, every dream in season.

Your eyes seek the gleam of a brighter prize,

While I linger where sunlight paints the skies.

You count the worth of life in what you hold,

I find my joy where the river runs cold—

In the hush of dawn, in the scent of rain,

In the songs that heal an unspoken pain.

You are not the one to pause, to see

The little things that mean the world to me.

When I wear the colour your heart once chose,

You look away… yet my heart still knows.

For you are my axis, my North, my ground,

In your name, my every heartbeat is found.

I bend in the wind, but I do not break,

For loving you is the path I take.

But I am the hands that are always there.

You may not notice the way I stay,
