UNNATURAL DEATH TOLL IN ROURKELA RISES TO 35

Rourkela (02/06/2024): The unnatural death toll in Rourkela of Sundargarh district increased to 35 on Sunday. Out of the total deaths, six are sunstroke-related deaths. According to information, families have taken four bodies for post mortem.

A joint enquiry by tehsildar and a medical team is on to ascertain the cause of death of 24 persons. Similarly, out of the 18 unnatural deaths reported between May 29 and June 1, five are heatstroke-related.

Post mortem report of seven persons confirmed that five died due to sunstroke.

Reports of 11 other cases are awaited.
