UTKAL PARYATAN NIGAM EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION OPPOSE PRIVATISATION OF OTDC
Bhubaneswar(12/10/20 23): The Utkal Paryatan Nigam Employees' Association has requested the state government to take immediate steps to stop privatisation of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC). Addressing a press meet held at Panthanivas in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, President of the Association Sibananda Ray said, "Thousands of families will suffer, if appropriate steps are not taken to privatise the OTDC.
We also demand publication of results of the Sub Committee of NMR employees at the earliest.
Besides, the service rule should be implemented for benefit of the employees." Association Working President Benudhar Patra said, "The Association has been registered by the employees of OTDC.
The OTDC management has been protecting the interests of its employees by paying their salary and dearness allowance.
But some unrecognised unions have created unnecessary disturbances in the management of OTDC.
It is regretful that a group of employees of OTDC have warned of staging a demonstration in front of Bhubaneswar Panthanivas on October 17 against the OTDC.
We condemn such decision and request the management of OTDC to take strict action against those participating in the demonstration.".
