VIOLENCE-FREE ELECTIONS IN KHORDHA DISTRICT TOP PRIORITY: COLLECTOR
Khordha(21/05/2024): Violence free in Khordha district is our top priority.
This was informed by District Collector Chanchal Rana on Tuesday. At a press conference, the Collector said, "Ten companies of Central Armed Police Force have been deployed for smooth voting.
An additional 12 companies will be engaged for security purposes. Besides, health workers will be stationed at all the 1923 booths in the district.
Assured minimum facilities like ramps, toilets, uninterrupted power supply, solar backup, inverters and DG sets have been made in the polling stations.
In view of the heatwave conditions, refreshment, provision of chairs for senior citizens and creche facilities for working mothers have also been put in place." He highlighted that print, electronic and social media are being monitored to curb fake news.
It will be further intensified, he added .
