VK Pandian Takes Voluntary Retirement
Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, VK Pandian took voluntary retirement from the Civil Services.
The Centre has approved the VRS of Pandian.
The Secretary, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training has written a letter to Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration & PG Department, Government of Odisha in this regard.
“In reference to letter No.GAD-SER1-PERS-0100-2014 dated 20.10.2023 Government of Odisha, I am directed to convey the approval of the competent authority for acceptance of voluntary retirement of V Kartikeya Pandian, IAS(OD-2000) under Rule 16(2A) of All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement benefits) Rules, 1958 with waiver of the notice period as recommended by the State Government” , the letter reads.
The decision of VK Pandian taking VRS has silenced the opposition who has been making hue and cry over the transformative initiatives of the 5T Secretary.
