2nd evening of Annual Festival of Ragotsav 2024 showcased Odissi vocal & Hindustani vocal recital
Bhubaneswar(19/11/2024 ): The 2nd evening of Annual Festival of Ragotsav 2024 organised by Bhubaneswar Music Circle showcased Odissi vocal and Hindustani vocal recital by the renowned artists.
The programme was started on Odissi vocal recital by Kartik Chandra Sahoo.
The Odissi songs presented by Sahoo was marked with remarkable euphony and variegated graceful embellishment punctuated by indigenous rhythmic patterns.
The music lovers present were deeply engrossed by the superb and impeccable elaboration of different raags, talas and musical patterns, clear tonal quality and musical renderings.
Evening last presentation was Hindustani vocal recital by renowned Hindustani vocalist Kumar Mardur.
His rendition was a good command of rhythm, a large variety of taals and was based on popular & rare raag combinations.
The programme was coordinated and compeered by Dr.Sangita Gosain.
