BHUBANESWAR BIKASH SANGATHAN CELEBRATED FIFTH ANNUAL EVENT
Bhubaneswar(20/05/2024): The Bhubaneswar Bikash Sangathan celebrated its fifth annual event on Monday.
Founded in 2019, during the aftermath of Cyclone Fani, the organization was established by the Atmashakti Trust to address the significant issues faced by the slum areas of Bhubaneswar.
Initially focused on the northern zone, the organization has since expanded its reach to over 370 slum areas across Bhubaneswar, working to ensure fundamental rights, water and sanitation facilities, and social security for the residents. The foundation day was commemorated at the Fuleshwari slum (Ward No-49) in Patrapada area.
The event was attended by district-level representative Manjulata Swain, zone-level representative Ambika Pani, slum-level representative Sangeeta Patra, and youth volunteers Lakshmi Kumari Sharma, among others.
They shared their experiences and commitment to continue working with the organization to improve the slum areas. Keynote speaker Arun Prasad Dihudi from the Atmashakti Trust, along with officials from Bhubaneswar Bikash Sangathan, addressed the gathering and discussed future plans to strengthen the organization and enhance its impact .
