Bhumij tribe's Dishum Baa Banga Parva organized in Dambarughati
Nilgiri, Date: 10.3.2026, Today, Bhumij tribals organized their traditional "Dishum Baa Banga Parva" at Dambarughati under Mahishpatta Gram Panchayat of Nilgiri in a natural and beautiful environment at the foot of the Swarnachuda hills. Subashini Singh, Secretary of the Baa Banga Committee, said, "With the arrival of spring, when nature brings new leaves, flowers and fruits, the Bhumij tribals celebrate this festival.
Men and women of the village gather and go to the forest to the tune of their traditional dance, music and drums to worship the Shaalphul as the king of the forest. Through him, they invoke all the deities of the forest and bring a puja mandapam and pray together." They offer thanks for the blessings of nature through prayers and pray for the protection of the villagers, domestic animals and birds and for their well-being.
The chairman and members of the Bana Dhulira Phula Bijay Acharya cooperated in this program, while the president of the Baa Banga Committee, Paramanand Singh, editor Subashini Singh, Harihar Singh, Gudur.
