CYCLONE LIKELY TO FORM OVER BAY OF BENGAL IN 48 HOURS

Bhubaneswar(29/11/2023): The low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal now lies as well marked low pressure. The system is likely to move north-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal around November 30.

Thereafter, it is likely to move northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm over Southwest and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal during subsequent 48 hours. In view of the forecast made by India Meteorological Department, Odisha Special Relief Commissioner has advised the fishermen not to venture into the sea.
