Dharmasala PEO Smitarani Biswal's death case will be investigated: CM Mohan Majhi
Jajpur (29/09/2024): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday announced that Dharmasala Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) Smitarani Biswal's death case will be investigated and action will be taken against those involved. Addressing a membership drive of the BJP organised at Barchana in Jajpur district, the Chief Minister said, "Smitarani Biswal was brutally killed.
Instead of giving justice to the family of the lady PEO, the local leaders were shielded by the BJD.
The BJD had claimed about giving respect to women and work to villages.
But it is unfortunate that the villages lack proper roads and there has been corruption in the name of development." Targeting the BJD over the malnutrition deaths in Nagada village in Jajpur district, the CM said that 15 children lost their lives due to malnutrition in Nagada village.
Though the then government introduced schemes for the tribal-dominated village, it failed to implement the same.
There has been destruction in the 24 years of governance of the BJD in the state, he added.
