Ek-Asha Trust hosts fourth Annual Sports and Science Summit
Deogarh(22/01/2025): Premier Socio Charity Organisation Ek-Asha Trust hosted its Annual Sports cum Science Summit recently with much pomp, splendour and massive fanfare.The two-day long Sports Festival and Science Exhibition held at remote Jharagogua village in Deogarh district of Odisha witnessed the transformation of Ek-Asha campus into a vibrant hub of quality learning, creative exercise and celebration of excellence.Unusual interest,unexpected enthusiasm and unprecedented excitements were found among the participants assembled here during the Grand occasion.The prime motto of the Mega Event was to exhibit the essence of extraordinary talent and spectacular skill of young delegates.
The exhibition was a kaleidoscope of several unique and innovative pursuits by youngsters.Young minds presented ingenious science projects exploring renewable energy, sustainable farming, wonders of physics and amazing computer programming.
The Sports Fiesta reverberated with cheers as students showcased their athletic prowess in races,team games and traditional tribal sports.Transcending the academic boundary, the Fair fostered a sense of community feeling by encouraging collaboration and celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the region.The presence of parents and villagers underscored the importance of community support in nurturing young talents.
Addressing the gathering, the local Sarpanch Nalini Kisan observed, "It's thrilling to see such a tremendous opportunity being provided to the students in an area where cell phone network became available only a year ago.
Witnessing cultural performances like yoga and human pyramid, something we only saw in television, being performed by our own children is truly incredible." Delivering his speech, L local MLA Romancha Ranjan Biswal remarked," By bridging the gap between rural and urban education system,This initiative has become a beacon of hope for these deserving students.
It empowers them to dream big and strive for excellence.
Ek-Asha is blooming like a ‘Bana Kusuma’, which resembles a wild flower for us.
One day It will surely become the pride of Deogarh and shall become the harbinger of lost glory to this forgotten district,” he added.
Biswal personally reviewed each of the science projects developed by the students, offering them words of encouragement .
He also laid down the foundation stone for Ek-Asha Vidya Vanam, followed by a detailed and strategic discussion with the Trustees and members of board of management on the future planning and Road Map of the Trust. Over 600 participants including 200 students from Ek-Asha Vidya Vanam, Think Centres, alongwith 150 parents, 250 villagers and 50 esteemed guests congregated during the Fourth Anniversary Celebration.
Through this remarkable Ceremony Ek-Asha Trust demonstrated the power of consistent and impactful efforts in transforming lives of underprivileged at the grassroots level.
By virtue of providing a solid and sustainable platform for enlightenment, elevation and celebration year after year, the Trust continues to ignite a spark of inspiration in the hearts of these young minds.
As a result Ek-Asha promises a safe, secured and brighter future for the tribal community of Deogarh.
