Senior social worker Gobinda Dalai presided over the event. The chief guest was Amal Valerao, CSR Head of SMFG. Vice-President Abhradeep Das, State Coordinator Asit Dalai, Aruhabati–I Sarpanch Gita Rani Jena, Panchayat Samiti Member Anjali Jena, Advocate Rajkishore Jena, Bhagyalaxmi Rout, Pabitra Behera, livelihood coordinator Sanyukta Behera, social worker Braja Kishore Pal, and village president Ramachandra Jena attended and encouraged the trainees. On behalf of the Panchayat, social worker Subrata Kumar Sahu offered the vote of thanks.

The textile production center was started three months ago after providing training, especially to support several families in Manunagar who were struggling financially following six consecutive floods of the Subarnarekha River that destroyed their crops this year. Products made at the center are now being prepared with the aim of entering the wider Indian market. To motivate the women, the organization felicitated them for their efforts and progress.

The Sarpanch and Panchayat Samiti Member requested that similar initiatives be extended to other self-help groups in the region. More than a hundred women from Manunagar and nearby areas attended the programme.
