HIRAKUD DAM OPENS EIGHT MORE GATES
Bhubaneswar(14/09/2023): The Hirakud Dam in Sambalpur district opened eight more sluice gates on Thursday. Total ten gates of the dam have been thrown open for release of excess water. While inflow to the reservoir is recorded at 1,42,073 cusec, outflow stands at 72,190 cusec. Heavy rain continues to lash several parts of Odisha since last evening under the influence of an active low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
