NATIONAL BAN ON CRACKERS?- HERE'S WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
New Delhi(07/11/2023)/By Amrita Dash: The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday clarified the ban of crackers containing banned chemicals during Diwali.
This action follows after the consequences of the highest than ever AQI records in Delhi.
While Diwali is just a momentary reason for the sound and noise pollution in the country, it is to be noted that precautions are always better than cure.
Every year there is a short ban or restriction list made during the festival of lights but this time, the quality of air has worsened even more hence any step is crucial.
A bench made up of Justices MR Shah and AS Bopanna issued a number of directives on October 29, 2021, to make sure that their previous orders—which prohibited the use of barium-based compounds in fire crackers and only permitted the use of "green crackers"—were strictly followed.
But this year, the ban isn't limited to just Delhi NCR, but across all states of the country so as to control noise and air pollution as much as possible. It is important to refrain from polluting their surroundings with smoke and celebrate consciously.
Children and Adults with respiratory ailments, hearing impairments (in any stage) should away from any cracker containing chemicals that they might be allergic to or smoke, in general.
As a responsible citizen of the country and owner of your respective body, try to maintain caution from the darkness and find solutions to rejoice in the lightness of the festival with their friends and family.
