NRUTYA BILASH HELD IN BHUBANESWAR
Bhubaneswar (26/05/2024): The annual celebration of Sri Dance Academy, founded by Odissi Dance Guru Namita Ray, was organised at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar.
The main objective of organizing this festival "Nrutya Bilash" is to promote and showcase the classical Odissi dance and other traditional folk dances of Odisha. The festival started with lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests Rakshyak Nayak, Eminent Poet and Director (Odia Language & Literature), KIIT University; Dr.Neeta Bahidar, Odissi Dance Exponent, Niranjan Rout, Odissi Dance Guru; Umesh Chandr Das, Renowned Violin Player; Prafulla Kumar Patnaik, President Sri Dance Academy and Namita Ray, Eminent Odissi Dancer and Founder, Nrutya Bilash.
The evening first presentation was Odissi dance presented by senior dancers of Shree Dance Academy.
They presented Mangalacharan-Bande Bishnu Chaturbhusam & Rageshree Pallavi performed by Etisikhya, Sambhabi, Satya Prakash and Hiski followed by Abhinaya Jaya Bhagabati by Sonalin, Shradha, Lipika, Sweta and Sneha.
The dance choreographed by Guru Durga Charan Ranbir and dance directed by Namita Ray.
The next item of the evening was group Odissi Abhinaya Bal Gopalsthakam choreographed by Guru Durga Charan Ranbir and dance directed by Namita Ray.
Next was another group Odissi Abhinaya Dasabatara choreographed by Namita Ray.
Next item was Mahakali Dhyana presented by Akankhya, Arjyanika, Krishna, Nibedita and Janhvi.
The dance choreographed by Guru Dr.Debaprasad Das and dance directed by Madhusmita Mohanty followed by Abhinaya Andamayee choreographed by Gayatri Behera.
Next programme was Sambalpuri dance Rasa Jamudali presented by Dimpal, Prathana, Glory, Aradhya, Sachi and Adyata followed by Jhumar presented by Itisikhya, Sambhabi, Haski and Arsita.
Next was Kastuti Tilakam choreographed by Namita Ray followed by another Sambalpur dance Shull Bharni choreographed by Gayatri Behera.
Next Odissi group presentation was Abhinaya Bata Chalu Chalu choreographed by Namita Ray.
Later, the senior and junior artists of Shree Dance Academy performed traditional Sambalpuri dance like Mayala Jad, Jhumar, Kindiri Kinda and Odissi dance Tuhima Janamabhumi choreographed by Namita Ray.
The group Odissi dances and folk dances were enthralled the audiences with enthusiasm till the end. The program was moderated by Biswajit Baliarsingh along with Namita Roy.
At the end, Rajendra Narayan Roy, Treasurer of Shree Dance Academy gave vote of thanks.
