PHIRINGIA POLICE STATION TORCHING CASE: TWO MORE ARRESTED
Phulbani (09/08/2023): Two more persons were arrested in connection with the Phiringia police station torching case. With the latest arrests, the total number of arrested persons rose to 21. On August 5, a group of angry mob had set the Phiringia police station in Kandhamal district on fire over alleged involvement of the Inspector In Charge Tapan Kumar Nahaka and two homeguards Prashant Patra and Rabi Digal in illegal ganja trade. The Inspector In Charge has been transferred and the two homeguards suspended.
