Balasore, 30/6 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): As part of the ongoing nine-day cultural programme "Ratharu Bahuda: A Cultural Journey," organised by the Odia Bhasha Bikash Andolan (OBBA) to mark the sacred occasion of Gundicha Yatra, a spiritually enriching discourse titled “Shree Jagannath Kathamruta” was delivered on the fourth day by renowned spiritual speaker Dr. Bhagabata Prasad Behera.

In his illuminating address, Dr. Behera shared insightful narratives and philosophical interpretations about Lord Jagannath, emphasizing that in the age of Kali, the Lord descends in the sacred form of Darubrahma at the holy abode of Srikshetra to redeem fallen souls through His countless human-like pastimes. Once a year, during the Gundicha Yatra, the Lord bestows darshan to devotees from all castes, religions, and backgrounds, fulfilling their heartfelt wishes. He also underlined that only the offerings made in Srimandir are considered Mahaprasad—using the term for offerings from any other temple is inappropriate and irreverent.

The event was presided over by Dr. Choudhury Satyabrata Nanda. OBBA's General Secretary Dr. Laxmikanta Tripathy gave the introductory address, while Joint Secretary Shantilata Panda invited the guests to the stage, and fellow Joint Secretary Jumaranath Patra delivered the vote of thanks.

Among the many devotees and dignitaries present were Rajendranath Raut, Niranjan Raut, Dr. Hemamala Dash, Urmila Nayak, Kalyani Nanda, Shanti Bishi, Ritesh Dash, Benudhar Sahu, Manmatha Kumar Sahu, Dr. Shireesha Chandra Jena, Snigdha Samantaray, Ramakanta Mohanty, Mahendra Puthal, Dinabandhu Lenka, Nibaran Jena, Tapan Ray, Pradeep Kumar Chatterjee, Deepak Bose, Karunakar Sa, Sharata Kumar Mahapatra, Nityananda Raut, Deepak Das, Madhusudan Majhi, Laxmikanta Behera, Hemendra Mahapatra, Lambodhar Nayak, Vidyadhar Sahu, Harekrushna Palei, and Ratikanta Mallik—among several other ardent Jagannath devotees.
