SPECIAL TEAM OF COMMISSIONERATE POLICE RAIDS JHARPADA JAIL IN BHUBANESWAR

Bhubaneswar (20/03/2024): A special team of the Commissionerate Police on Wednesday raided the Jharpada Jail in Bhubaneswar.

During the raid, small quantity of ganja, gutkha, khaini, bidi, match boxes and lighters were seized from the jail Recently, clashes erupted between the inmates of the jail.

Following the clash between members of Chakara and Sambhu gang, the jail authorities had lodged a complaint at Laxmisagar police station and ordered a departmental inquiry. In the clash, Sambhunath Barik, an inmate, was seriously injured.

He was rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment.
