Tech In Tourism 2025 sets new benchmark for Odisha’s tourism innovation landscape

The third edition of Tech In Tourism 2025, organised by Retrod, in collaboration with TiE Bhubaneswar, was held on Sunday in Bhubaneswar with remarkable success.

The conclave
brought together leading voices from hospitality, travel, technology, culture, and entrepreneurship, positioning Odisha as an emerging hub for tourism innovation and digital
transformation.

The inaugural ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp of wisdom, graced by Sidhant Mohapatra (MLA, Digapahandi), Debasish Patnaik (Director, The Crown &
Founder, Dalma), and Pravat Panda (Founder & MD, Retrod).

Pravat Panda delivered the welcome address, reaffirming Retrod’s mission to build a
technology-driven ecosystem for tourism.

Eminent speaker Debasish Patnaik highlighted the cultural strengths and rising hospitality standards of Odisha, followed by an
impactful guest of honour address by Nachiketa Das, MD, Mall IQ Inc.

Speaking on the occasion, 
chief guest MLA Sidhant Mohapatra commended the initiative for creating a collaborative
platform that unites innovators, industry leaders, and policymakers.

The conclave featured recognitions for outstanding contributors to the tourism and hospitality
sector.

Four power-packed panel discussions explored the future of tourism across themes such as
innovation, sustainability, experiential travel, AI, cultural heritage, and business growth.

Speakers included senior leaders from MSME, ITC Welcome Hotels, Shinestar Global Holidays, Motwani Constructions, Batoi Systems, Tatwa Technologies, iSpyCyber, Kruti Coffee, KIIT, Sai Bhagabati Group, and other distinguished institutions.

A key highlight was the unveiling of Open MiC Connect by TiE Bhubaneswar, marking a significant step toward fostering innovation and collaboration among Odisha’s entrepreneurs
and startup ecosystem.

With more than 500 delegates, over 30 speakers, and representation from hotels, travel companies, technology firms, restaurateurs, academia, and cultural leaders, the event
reinforced Odisha’s potential to emerge as a prominent tourism destination on the global
map.

The conclave successfully positioned technology as a catalyst for redefining guest
experience, improving operational efficiency, and unlocking new tourism opportunities across
Odisha.
