THREE MEET WATERY GRAVE AFTER HOLI CELEBRATIONS IN ODISHA
Bhubaneswar (26/03/2024): As many as three youngsters including a Plus II student drowned while taking a bath after their Holi celebrations in three separate incidents in Odisha on Tuesday. The first incident was reported from Salepur in Cuttack district where a Plus II student from Chandipur had gone to a pond to take a bath after playing Holi with his friends and family.
Unfortunately, he slipped into deep water and drowned, reports said. He was rescued by villagers and rushed to the local hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased has been identified as Ashish Kumar Das, son of Saroj Kumar Das. In a similar incident, a minor boy met his watery grave while taking a bath after playing Holi at Katkula village under Paradip Lock police limits in Jagatsinghpur district.
Another such incident of drowning also took place at Soro in Balasore district where a ten-year-old boy drowned following Holi celebration .
