TRAIN SERVICES RESUME ON ACCIDENT-AFFECTED ROUTE IN BALASORE

Balasore (05/06/2023): Almost 51 hours of the major triple train tragedy that took place at Bahanaga in Balasore district, train services resumed on the accident-affected route following completion of restoration work on Sunday night. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was present at the spot during the resumption of services. A coal-laden train from Vizag port started its journey towards Rourkela Steel plant at around 10:40 pm yesterday.

The goods train ran on the same track where the Bangalore-Howrah train met with the accident on Friday night. The Indian Railways also started running passenger trains on the accident-affected tracks.
