World Fisheries Day celebrated by Aquapulse
Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): Aquapulse, one of India’s leading seafood tech enterprises, celebrated World Fisheries Day 2025 with small-scale fish farmers of Chandbali in Bhadrak district. As part of its efforts to strengthen the country’s marine food ecosystem, the company organised this special grassroots-level programme to honour the contribution of small farmers.
The company’s Managing Director, Co-Founder and CEO Abhishek Dwivedi, along with Chief Growth Officer Abhilash Dwivedi, attended the event as guests and interacted with the farmers of the region.
During the programme, discussions were held on farmer identification, experience-sharing sessions, Aquapulse’s support initiatives, technology adoption, and market linkage facilitation.
CEO Abhishek Dwivedi stated that small-scale farmers are the backbone of the country’s fisheries sector.
“By celebrating this day with them, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting environmentally sustainable, high-quality aquaculture and empowering fish farmers across the state and the nation,” he said.
Chief Growth Officer Abhilash Dwivedi said that coastal Odisha has always played a key role in the country’s marine food ecosystem.
“By collaborating with farmers, our efforts continue to focus on innovation, transparency, global market access, and strengthening them at the grassroots level,” he added.
The programme also highlighted various initiatives undertaken by Aquapulse like strengthening farmer engagement through cluster-based approaches, enhancing pre-harvest and post-harvest advisory services, expanding export opportunities from Odisha to global markets, promoting eco-friendly practices aligned with national food security and Blue Economy goals.
Aquapulse aims to transform the seafood value chain with these initiatives. On the occasion of World Fisheries Day, the company reiterated its commitment to farmer-centric development and grassroots empowerment.
