Woman from Darjeeling attacked by youth in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): A woman from Darjeeling was critically injured after being attacked by a youth from the same region near Buddha Park in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. The attacker allegedly slit her throat after suspecting her of being in a relationship with another man.

According to reports, the woman was selling momos near Buddha Park when the accused, identified as Tinku Gurum, confronted her. A heated argument broke out, which quickly escalated into a scuffle. In a sudden act of violence, Gurum attacked her with a sharp weapon in broad daylight, leaving her severely injured.

Following the attack, the accused fled the spot. Chandrasekharpur police, upon receiving information, launched a chase and arrested him.
