Odisha fully prepared to face possible cyclone: Disaster Management Minister
Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Sunday said the state is fully alert and prepared to tackle the possible cyclone developing over the Bay of Bengal.
According to the Minister, the system is likely to first impact Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh before moving toward Odisha.
“A clearer picture will emerge by the evening of November 24,” Pujari said.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that wind speed may start increasing gradually from November 25.
Meanwhile, the low-pressure area over the Bay has intensified into a well-marked low-pressure system, and its further movement is being closely monitored.
