Assault on Army officer & fiancee: Youth Congress activists stage protest in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (21/09/2024): Irked over the alleged assault of an Army Major and his fiancee at Bharatpur police station in Bhubaneswar, hundreds of activists of the Youth Congress staged protest at Lower PMG here. The protestors hurled eggs and tomatoes during their protest against the alleged misbehaviour by police personnel at Bharatpur police station.

They demanded stringent action against those involved in the case.

Many party activists were detained by police. On the other hand, the members of the BJD also staged a dharna in front of the Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum to the President through the Governor seeking appropriate action against the wrongdoers.
