Bhubaneswar Supermarket fire rages for over 20 hours
Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): A major fire broke out at a supermarket in the Lingipur area near Dhauli on Monday night around 10 PM and has been burning for over 20 hours.
Firefighters from the Odisha Fire Services are still struggling to bring it under control.
The blaze intensified due to highly flammable materials such as plastics and household goods stored in the supermarket.
More than 40 firefighting teams with advanced equipment are on site.
Goods worth several lakhs of rupees have been destroyed.
Authorities suspect a short circuit as the possible cause, though a detailed investigation is ongoing.
Fire officials remain hopeful that the situation will be brought under control soon.
