OBBA Organises Literary Evening in Honour of Dr. Choudhury Satyabrata Nanda on the Twelfth Day of Bhasha Paksha

Balasore, March 7 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): On the twelfth day of Bhasha Paksha and the Kutir Book Fair organized by the Odia Bhasha Bikash Andolan' (OBBA), a literary evening dedicated to senior medicine specialist and eminent litterateur Dr. Choudhury Satyabrata Nanda was held under the chairmanship of poet Dipak Bose.

Research scholar Bablu Padhan from the Odia Department of Fakir Mohan University and Dr. Pratichi Nanda, faculty member of the Department of Language and Literature at Kuntala Kumari Sabat Women’s College, attended as speakers and discussed the multifaceted literary contributions of Dr. Nanda. They noted that through his stories, essays, and poems, along with more than two hundred columns published in various newspapers, Dr. Nanda has consistently emphasized moral values in social life. With more than thirty-five books to his credit, he has significantly enriched Odia literature.

The Vice-President of the organization and noted storyteller Nibaran Jena spoke about the objectives of Bhasha Paksha, while the General Secretary Dr. Laxmikanta Tripathy presented the introductory remarks. A song written by Dr. Tripathy in honour of Dr. Nanda was rendered by Kalyani Nanda.
Organising Secretary Tapan Ray invited the guests to the stage, and Joint Secretary Jumarnath Patra offered the vote of thanks. Many writers and intellectuals were present at the literary gathering.
