Similipal National Park to receive additional 150 cameras

Karanja (16/01/2025): The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha is set to receive an additional 150 cameras to enhance security.

Currently, the park has 100 AI cameras, 100 AR cameras, and 850 trap cameras installed.

This move aims to strengthen surveillance and protection of the park's rich wildlife, including tigers, elephants, and various bird species. The cameras will be strategically placed to monitor the park's vast area, ensuring the safety of both visitors and wildlife.

Additionally, a platoon of police personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order within the park.
