2 women die, 6 critical after consuming ‘mango kernel’
Kandhamal (01/11/2024): At least two women died after allegedly eating ‘mango kernel’.
The condition of six others, who had consumed kernel, is stated to be critical. The incident took place at Mandipanka village under Daringbadi block in Kandhamal district.
The women complained of stomach ache and uneasiness after consuming mango kernel.
They were rushed to Godapur Community Health Centre (CHC) and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur after their condition worsened. However, one of them died while undergoing treatment.
Similarly, another woman died on her way to MKCG.
