24-hour internet shutdown imposed in Malkangiri

Malkangiri(By Abhishek Mohanty): Internet services have been suspended in Malkangiri district 24 hours.
Restrictions have been imposed by the district administration following clashes between MV-26 and Rakhelguda villages.

From 6 PM on Monday, internet services will remain shut for 24 hours.

After tension escalated between the two villages, the district administration has imposed Section 163 of the BNS.
Section 163 has been enforced within a 10-km radius of MV-26 and Rakhelguda villages.

The residential school at MV-26 has been declared closed for four days.

Tension erupted after the headless body of a woman from Rakhelguda was found.
It has been reported that one group set fire to houses and vandalized property belonging to the other group.
