Naxalism to be eliminated by March 31, 2026: Amit Shah 


Cuttack(By Abhishek Mohanty): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday stated that Naxalism will be completely eliminated from the country by March 31, 2026, highlighting the Centre’s continued efforts to curb the insurgency.


Addressing the 57th Raising Day celebration of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Mundali in Cuttack district, Shah emphasized that the force plays a crucial role in building a developed India.


He praised the CISF for its dedication and professionalism, stating that the force has continuously evolved with time and remains an excellent example of commitment to duty.

The Home Minister also announced that the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to assign CISF the responsibility of securing all ports across the country.

Shah said PM Narendra Modi has set a target of transforming India into a fully developed nation by 2047. He added that India aims to become one of the world’s largest economies by 2027, and the CISF will have a significant role in achieving that goal.

On the occasion, foundation stones were laid and ground-breaking ceremonies conducted for five projects, including a new residential complex for CISF personnel.
