Workshop on ‘Suposhit Odisha Mission’ Held in Balasore by District Administration
• All district officials take pledge to build a malnutrition-free Balasore
Balasore, March 6 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A district-level workshop on the 'Suposhit Odisha Mission'(SOM) was held yesterday at the auditorium hall of the Balasore Collectorate.
The Sub-Collector of Balasore, Shiva Malavya, attended the programme as the chief guest. The event was smoothly conducted under the direct supervision of the District Social Welfare Officer, Mrs. Jyotsna Mohanty.
During the workshop, state-level trainer Ms. Ishika Daga presented a detailed explanation of the Suposhit Odisha Mission. She spoke about how pregnant women, mothers, and children between the ages of one and six can overcome malnutrition. She stated that the main objective of the initiative is to achieve a completely malnutrition-free Odisha by the year 2029.
She also offered suggestions to the District Social Welfare Officer on how Balasore district could become malnutrition-free within a short period.
On the occasion, all officials and staff present at the workshop took a pledge to work towards building a malnutrition-free Balasore. All CDPOs, supervisors, and Anganwadi workers of Balasore district, along with several block- and district-level officials, attended the workshop and contributed to its success.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the District Coordinator of 'Poshan', Mrs. Pallishree Devi Mallik.
